The Nkandla Report

Who on earth would build such a huge house using the states
money, I mean did the President think he was going to get away with it ? I did
not think so. As a leader, the President
was not being transparent by denying and not acknowledging that he was indeed
aware of the upgrades that were taking place at his homestead.
The President stole R247 million, tax money that
was initially supposed to be used to build schools, new/renew roads, hospital
and aid job creation. This was very selfish of him and displayed immense greed
on top of the benefits and privileges he is entailed to I believe he did not
need upgrades to his home, it is the last thing that is expected from a leader of
a nation.
I am telling you that the President abused his power by
taking from people who put him in that position in the first place, I say that
it was wrong of the President to choose not to admit to stealing the money .What he did was unethical and was more
than just a security upgrade, this is pure corruption nothing more and nothing
less.
I don’t understand why government management receives the
amount of privileges and benefits that they do. They certainly don’t need it as
much as the citizens of this country. Poverty is at a high rate in South Africa
and surely the President is aware of this issue. Instead of investing money
into schools and proper health care especially in the rural areas, he decides
to build a mansion, and for what? How can leader live with himself in his
luxurious lifestyle while his people, the people that gave him that position,
are suffering? He needs to make some
changes by implementing the plans that he’s always promising to deliver. Or
maybe a new leader, someone with a better understanding of what a leader is,
should be put in Jacob Zuma’s place.
